Help Join The Fight In Type 1 Diabetes!
Here is just another way we can educate and help in the fight against type 1, or juvenile diabetes. You could check this at your children’s, grandchildren’s, or neighborhood school.
Included in the School Walk Guide are all the materials you will need to conduct a successful Walk program. This guidebook walks you through the process of developing and conducting a fundraising drive at your school. The Classroom Tool Kit gives you a flexible curriculum with classroom activities that explore the biology of the disease, the role of research, and the lifelong benefits of healthy eating and exercise for all children.
It is so important that we teach our kids empathy, compassion and the gift to give. It makes for a nicer world, don’t you think? Okay, I will get off my soap box now. But do check it out!
Another way to get involved in the fight against diabetes… there is a walk this Sunday, May 7, 2007 in our Nation’s capitol to raise awareness and funding for JDRF .

Although I do not live in the USA, but I really appreciate any activity that support diabetes.
My little brother suffers from diabetes type 1, and he understands that he is a little different than his classmates and he can not do everything like a normal child.
We are trying to make him understand his situation.
