Lesser the exercise, higher the risk of diabetes

by Maruthi on March 29th, 2006

Children spend lesser and lesser time exercising these days. This leads to problems like obesity and diabetes. A study has found that only 37 percent of the urban kids walk to school compared to 67 percent in the suburban areas. The study noted the relation between the decrease in the number of kids walking to school and the onset of type 2 diabetes. Many kids spend as much as four hours a day watching TV or with the computer.
