Potato increases diabetes risk
Eating large amounts of potato could increase the risk of type 2 diabetes by upto 14 percent, according to a study by Harvard University. The research involved nearly 85,000 women participants. Obese women were particularly found to have a strong link between potato intake and diabetes risk. Specifically among potato based foods, french fries has been found to increase the risk of type 2 diabetes by as much as 21 percent.

If I’m not mistaken, eating potatoes with the skin on is healthier and, of course, avoiding fried potatoes is best of all.
