What Does A 7 Year Old Really Think About Diabetes?
A little conversation that I thought y’all would appreciate… this was between my 7 year old daughter and myself (as she was proofreading my posts that I was writing this afternoon).
K- “Mommy, what does diabetes food taste like”?
Me- “Haha, we eat diabetic food all the time, it is the healthy food that we eat for dinner and the sugar free snacks”.
K- “Like the sugar free chocolate chip snacks, I love them!”
Me- “Yes like them, remember what I taught you about food and colors”?
K- “I remember the food that is white will make you have a higher sugar number. Mommy- just to let you know, you do not eat fun”!
Me- “Lol, hahaha. I know, but it makes me healthy and also makes you healthy”.
K-”This diabetes thing is sooooooo boring”!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can find the small tub of Chocolate Coolwhip there is a receipt for no cook cheese cake.
1 small tub of chocolate coolwhip, 4 oz cream cheese, 3 packs of splinda. We make a crust of fine chopped pecans and spread Smuckers sugar free rasberry jam on the curst before we put the mixture in.
You can do this with strawberry also. We also use plain coolwhip with peanut butter.
We are always looking for things to keep me interested in staying on my diet.
